A Meet and Greet with Alexandra Fuller
The reason I was not at english class on Friday was because I was listening to Alexandra Fuller, the author of "Don't Let's Go To The Dogs Tonight". She is an amazing author and also a great public speaker. She is not shy about sharing her thoughts even though she is aware that it may offend people. She spoke about three of her books "Don't Let's Go To The Dogs Tonight", "The Legend of Colton H. Bryant", and "Scribbling the Cat". I hope to soon read "The Legend of Colton H. Bryant". I was very impressed about how much thought she poured into each book. She wrote "The Legend of Colton H. Bryant" because she was very offended about oil rigs polluting nature preserves. She read the obits section in the newspaper and saw his story. She was very distraught. Alexandra went to talk with Colton's parents. They told her that they had no problem with her writing a book about Colton but she had to take out the swear words because they were mormon. "Scribbling the Cat" is about Alexandra following the steps of a soldier that had returned from war. She met three very interesting men who had interesting lives. "Don't Let's Go To The Dogs Tonight" was about her childhood in modern day Zimbabwe which was formerly known as Zambia formerly known as Rhodesia. She now resides in Wyoming. She is very witty and exercises her right to free speech.

I'm glad you went to this talk. It sounded like a great day.
It really was. I really hope to read "The Legend of Colton H. Bryant" for an outside reading book and post about it on my blog. I am not sure if I will read "Scribbling the Cat" or not.
